Now im vaugely considering it again... what yah think? There are cowl hoods available for the 97+'s, but I'm sure you know that. The one styled after the mustang cowl actually looks pretty good on our cars. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 you cna buy fiberglass cowl hoods like that, I duno if I like it or not, but if you do go for it! Quote

Psych0matt Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 I actualy thought about doing this, but i changed my mind.... Now im vaugely considering it again... what yah think? That one looks really good IMO. Make sure the colors match though when you get it painted :-) Quote
fastbird232 Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 Well, weren't those style cowl hoods meant to draw cool air into the air cleaner, which was located on top of the motor along the centerline of the hood? And aren't the air cleaners on Grand Prixs on the driver's side towards the front? So...what's the point? Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 Just for looks on these cars. Quote
pwmin Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 it does draw some cool air into the engine, but theyre basically worthless. the hood louvres probably do as much if not much more than a cowl hood would. this is true badass cowl induction "It received high-pressure air while on the move through a vacuum-operated flap on the cowl induction" Quote
jasond Posted October 21, 2005 Author Report Posted October 21, 2005 I have yet to do this mod on my car. I have seen a gen 2 on the net with a cowl hood, and it looks pretty good. Quote
