habenarohank
Girlfriend took the car for a 3 hour drive and It died on here I drove down with a car hauler and picked it up. When I start it it surges real bad then dies . If I let it sit for 2 hours it will start but surges and dies? Tried the thing under the coil pack but it didn't work (could be a bad used one) . Anyone know what else could be doing this? what about the crank sensor?? thanks.
DaveFromColorado
crank sensor, injectors, shorted plug wires, nearly anything - I'd start with a fuel pressure check to make sure the pump is good, then the crank sensor, then start goin' down the list of easy things to cover. one thing, make sure it's got gas in it, sometimes those fuel gauages/sending units can go bad too... --Dave. habenarohank
Its not getting any spark when it dies thats why I think it might be a cranksensor. We are first going to put a new icm in the thing under the coils. I tried a used one but it didn't work. It has aa new timing belt and brand new plugs and wires. What esle could it be???? No spark should narrow it down. Car pisses me off I just want to sell it. 92 GTP 5 speed
