f_399 Posted June 27, 2005 Report Posted June 27, 2005 this has happened twice... i am going below 20MPH and when I brake it seems like it slips and the brake grinds and the lowtrac light goes on it seems like ABS is engaging even when the wheels are slipping my pads have just been changed the first time it happend was after a car wash, i thought the brakes were just slippery because it just got wet, so it broke a few times to get them hot and i thought i fixed the problem today it happened again... help Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted June 27, 2005 Report Posted June 27, 2005 ABS is suppose to engage when the wheels are slipping. When the ABS comes on, youll hear an almost grinding noise, which is the ABS doing its job. Quote
f_399 Posted June 28, 2005 Author Report Posted June 28, 2005 the thing is the wheels were not slipping and the ABS came on.... there was the grinding noise Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 Check the ABS sensors, maybe one is not working the way that its suppose to. Quote
DaveFromColorado Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 sounds like one of the sensors went out for sure on there, either that or the reluctor ring for one of the sensors is somehow damaged and missing teeth making the sensor thing that the wheel isn't moving. --Dave. Quote
