Joe590me
I am thinking of getting the FFP motor mounts for my car, but can somebody tell me exactly what they will do to my car , like noise, performance in engine, tranny? anything? thanx alot
chadz34
They will rattle your car alot more. The car will sound alot louder at idle. It will help launches better and thats basically all it will do.
pwmin
mine didnt make my car rattle, it just made the engine a little stiffer. remember, its not the only engine mount(s). less movement of the engine means less drivetrain loss from the motor rocking and dissipating power to nowhere. its cheap and easy and if you dont like it (them) theyre not that hard to sell. btw, http://www.w-body.com/forum/search.php
z34Phoenix
yep i got one. i love it. it looks Great. and doesnt wear likt the factory one. and the care responds faster when you get on the throtle because of the improved power transfer. FFP clams like 3-10 lbs of tq to be recoverd with this. but i doubt it. and if it does, it would only be a gain when there is a gear change or RPM change. but it is well worth it
Grand Moff Joseph
the life saved off of the car's tranny makes the dogbones worth their weight in old, IMO.
