f_399
97 Lumina LTZ What are the widest possible(that is in production) tires you can put on our stock rims? i think stock is 225,60,16? i really like it when the rims are chubby
pwmin
if those are 6.5" (i think), even 7- inch thats about the widest. it depends on the side profile also. the lower it is, the wider the wheel needs to be.
jeremy
I wouldn't go anywider unless you get at least 8" wide rims
GnatGoSplat
The absolute widest tire you can safely run within spec on a 6.5" wide rim is 235/55R16. If you don't care about safety or uneven tire wear, you can squeeze 245/50R16's on 'em, but that size requires min 7" wide rims.
DW
Anyone know the width on the optional cast rims? I'm thinking 7" because I'm loking for 50 series Tires to put on for the spring.
GnatGoSplat
The 5-stars are 7" and crosslace are 8". The rest of the 16" are 6.5".
THe_DeTAiL3R
I like how wide my crosslace w/ 225/60/16s look
