truckfighter
I thought I remember reading about being about to free up some power by adjusting the timing a few degrees... is it possible/advisable? What are the disadvantages?
Aaron
The best combination so far is a 6* retard of the exhaust cams with a 6* advance of the intake cams. More information can be found at http://www.60degreev6.com
Kalgorn
How safe is this though? I vaguely remember some people talking about it could possibly harm your engine. Is that true?
Aaron
It could I guess, but many people are running it with no harmful effects as of yet.

Aaron
where can i find the proper procedure to adjust the cam timing? is this mod only possible on the non-interference 3.4 L v6's ?? Like I said above, http://www.60degreev6.com It is only possible on the 91-95 3.4s, which were the non-interference onces, but that is not the reason. joey b
Um...on my 97 I've done the 6/6 timing.
Aaron
Let me rephrase, it has only been thoroughly tested and documented on the earlier versions, and the results on the later will be much different considering the cams are different.
