Weird thing under my car...

Ok so I was backing my car out of my garage and saw this laying under the car.. near the backend. Just wondering what the hell it is...

lets say u were driving down the road, and the car in front of u had that stuck to there car, it fell off, bounced, off the road, under ur car, and got stuck in some crack or sticky stuff, by some chance today it finally fell off, and way laying in ur garage.

 

just a thought, i doubt it though :wink:

It appears to be the top half of a multiwire clamp.

 

Looks to me like the clamp that holds the fuel/brake lines in place underneath the car. Just a guess though.

I'll crawl under the car and see if anything appears to be missing/broken. Thanks guys for the input so far.

 

And widget is a funny word. :lol:

looks like a fuel/brake line support.

Is it a necessary piece? And is it easy to replace?

not completly neccassary, un less the plastic is broken on it somewhere I would say its purpose is to keep the fuel lines from rattleing around under your car too much. You can prob enginner a fix, or it may just pop right back on

It's part of a spacer that holds brake/fuel lines together to keep them from rattling around.
