The plastic handle snapped off long ago, and now the end of the cable is fraying from using pliers to pull it. How hard is it to replace the entire cable assembly?

The cable on my brothers caprice broke and we couldnt find a replacment so we wired a trunk release motor. Now it has a power hood pop, works like a charm.

That would be cool to have...seems like alot of people have broken hood release cables...when mine decides to snap I'll try to do that with the electric popper :D sounds like a great idea
