frusciante fan
so i'm driving home from work tonight, which is about 20 miles away, and everything is going fine. i do notice when i pull out of the parking lot and it sounded louder than usual, but i didn't pay much attention. however the problem persisted all the way home. the sound coming from under the hood sounds like something rubbing against something else.(sounds lame i know) the sound remains whether driving or in idle. reving the engine does not affect it. DiscoStudd
Well I guess you've gotta get that hood open before you can do any further diagnosis, then!!! You can access the hood latch if you remove the grille (the grille on a 95 Regal can be removed without the hood being raised, so I'd assume the older "waterfall" grille on the 88-94's should be similar...) frusciante fan
i opened it last night, i just didn't post. i think it's coming from one of the pulleys. the idle or the water pump one. but i think it's the one for the water pump because all the rest are running perfectly, and then there's one that's wobbling like the drunken bastard. i'll end up taking it to the shop tomorrow or tuesday. hopefully it's just a bad bearing...
