ZoomZoomFan Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 When she is cruising on the interstate at about 75, it's turning at about 4k, or at least that's what the tach says. Doing about 45 or 50 on a backroad, it is still at 3k rpm. It's done this ever since she got it a few years ago. It doesn't seem to effect the car much, so.......is it normal for those engines to do that? This is the first 3.4 I've been around for a while. Quote
pitzel Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 Sounds like your TCC isn't working properly. Either that, or somehow the tranny is shifting into just Drive, and not Overdrive (D). More of a transmission problem than anything. Don't know much about the 4T60-E, surely someone else can chime in. Quote
jdcutty Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 with the 4t60e, at 75 it should be running around 2500 rpm. Again, sounds like the TCC isn't working properly. Quote
