fastbird232 Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 On a 70-75 degree day, it runs just under 210 at cruising speed and just over 210 at idle. I noticed that my bro's '01 SE (3100) cruises just above the lowest temp on the gauge (the numbers slip my mind). Should I change my coolant or what? Quote
Canada Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 New thermostat and coolant flush never hurts... Quote
WhiteOut Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 Mines more like 190-195 when moving. Probably more like 210-215 if sitting still. Quote
skiiirt Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 Im usually between 110ºF and 170 - 180. RARELY am I ever in the 180+ range Thats on a 3.4 with < 15000 Miles Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 Mine is always one or two bars bellow that 210 degree marke. so what, 180? if i'm sitting in traffic it will run up to the 210 mark. Quote
JoroCorona Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 Mine ran at about 200 at higway speeds and would get to nearly 230 in traffic. However, It was in the summer when it did that. 100+ degree days dont make these engines very happy. Quote
Crimson Fury Z Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 w/the 180 stat, and ben's chip, 180 sitting, or little cooler moving. Quote

wilde108 Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 New thermostat and coolant flush never hurts... Agreed. New thermostat seems like a good idea in this situation. Quote
