Guest Anonymous
I've already used that stupid search feature so no bitching, please. After alot of thought, I've decided to convert the RPE over to the 5-speed. Now, I have an entire 5 speed car at my disposal. On my day off i want to pull the parts. The shop still has the 284 sitting on a shelf and i have the complete engine harness sitting here. what else do i need? The interior and engine bay is stripped to virtually nothing so pulling the parts shouldn't be the end of the world.
JoroCorona
Hell, You should have just done it while the RPE was apart already.
5speedz34
You need this: Trans Shifter Cables Harness or plugs Axles Tranny mounts ( I suggest getting new ones) Clutch master cylinder and all the stuff for that (slave, accumulator) Pedals Thats all I can think about now. http://60degreev6.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=49&page=1 Theres the link for the wiring differences. Also if you want to do it right. I would swap over the firewall plate off the manual trans cars. It's alot of work to do (remove dash fun!) but it's the right way and makes mounting the clutch pedal really easy.

Really, well you have to get it down to the firewall.
jeremy
I've already used that stupid search feature so no bitching, please. you need to learn how to actually use that function....This topic has been covered a ton of times and there are at least 10 very good threads about a five speed swap in the powertrain section. Two of those threads were active as recently as last week.
