Window Problem - Z34

i got a problem with my window,ive ALWAYS had this problem but never bothered with fixing it.

 

 

ok,when the window is fully up, I hit the switch,it goes down to about half way and stops,it makes this really loud grinding type noise and stops, Well if i push on it and push the switch at the same time it will go down the rest of the way.

 

When rolling it up it does the exact same thing, In the exact same spot.

 

also when i roll it fully up,and keep pressing the switch it makes the grinding noise contenuisly. Also same problem when it hits the bottom of the door.

 

 

Im thinking its not the motor,since it just gets stuck at certain spots. I remember reading about a couple people having this same exact issue.

 

Should i say screw it and just replace the entire window motor, or.....?

It's the motor. I had the same problem. It made the grind noise when it was fully up or fully down and it would get stuck in two spots. I don't really remember what was wrong with the motor but I replaced it. Cost me $65 at a junkyard and was a bitch to replace.
