DaveJ
My Cutlass has been running fine since new. The other day, it decided to act up during my lunch hour, was running very rough, slight fuel smell. Took it to Autozone after work to have them pull the codes. It registered a misfire on #3 cylinder. I decided that I was going to have the dealer take a look at it. Upon leaving the Autozone parking lot, the problem cleared itself up, I drove home parked it, drove it again about an hour later and the SES light shut off. It has been running fine for the past 3 days, but I do notice a slight fuel smell when I shut it off and get out. Any ideas would be appreciated. DiscoStudd
Either your coil packs or ICM (ignition module) are on their way out. I'd start with changing the #3 coil and see if that takes care of the problem...
