mufler and exaust

i have a 96 cutlass supreme coupe. its only got a single exaust. i love the sound of new grand prix with the dual exaust, its just beasty. and i was lookin to get some more sound from my car. im thinking just a muffler. i was lookin on this website, and i was wondering if any of u know if it would make it sound better, and if it would even fit?

eh, the new GPs with the 3.8s sound like ass imo. You can put a dronemaster onto your car, but it will make a lotta noise and wont sound great. Look into magnaflow mufflers, they sound 1/2 decent on our cars.

yeah, me too. Mine is currently running with the lack of mufflers.

i used to have 2 of them on my cutlass, but one day coming home from work, they both fell off. they sounded very good, nice rumble at idle, and loudest around 2-2 1/2rpm. and got quiet anythong really above that.

i've heard a w with flows and it sounded great!

you should hear it now, not many people like it with no muffs or a resonator. but i think it sounds awesome. and yes i finally got off my ass and made a new signature.

I heard them on a few grand am's (delta 40's) they sounded nice... gotta hear them on a w tho, it doesnt matter I'm still going to try them. It's a muffler shop here that is pretty reasonable with there pricing, I'm going to check tomorrow on how much it would be to do a total 3inch exhaust.

Umm... 3"? That's complete overkill. Just get a nice 2.5" mandrel bent. 3" is WAY too big for that car.

Yea, it may be an overkill, more than likely I will stay with the 2.25"... sounds good, I really wasnt thinking when I typed that... :oops:

My 40's sound pretty good, although a lil raspy when you first start it up. Once warm though they sound very nice.
