Brian P
does Champion Labs make Motorcraft filters? i always use a Motorcraft FL-1A (Mustang 5.0L filter) on my 2.2 Turbo. that thing is big! they're cheap too and Wal-Mart sells them. The 2.5 uses the same filter right? I think it was a 2.5 I glanced at in a '93 Acclaim, the filter was a monster.
Guest TurboSedan
yeah same filter. most people on TD.com are using the FL-1A in their Turbo Dodges.
joey b
Pretty sure the DOHC uses the PF 52. My car eats about 1-2 quarts of oil depending on the interval of change, and I top off with full syn. Even if you car burns a little oil it doesn't hurt to use full syn. It can only help. As for the spark plug question, go with some rapidfire #8's
cutlass1991
So my '91 3.1L has 62K miles on it. I have always run castrol gtx since about 28K miles. Is it good to switch to Mobile 1, or should I just keep on doing the same thing. Is there any procedure as far as switching over from conventional to synth? THe_DeTAiL3R
I wouldnt bother changing to synthetic on a 3.1 since it isn't exactly a "performace" engine. GTX is good stuff for the price I don't see any reason to use something so expensive on an engine that is extremely reliable anyways.
