Cutlass87 Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 I have had '94 cutlass since last October and since February it has been running really hot (200+). My air conditioner blows warm/hot air when its on max cold. The "low coolant" light is on and I checked it and it's full. Both of my fans don't work even when the air is on max at full blast. i have no idea what to do to fix it.. It runs great and really fast, but it is always running HOTT!! can someone help me or guide me with this problem.. Quote
94CutlassSLCoupe Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 my guage always reads over 200 degrees...its actually off...my DIS (I added it) reads about 200-203 most of the time, which is right since the car has a 195 thermostat. Sounds like your low coolant switch is bad and also that your A/C either has a problem or needs a recharge Quote
White93z34 Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 is your coolant system bled proberly? Quote
1990lumina Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 The fans don't kick on till 220, and 227...but they should come on with the a/c...so something is wrong there I'd replace the thermostat and bleed the air out of the system...also, take out the coolant level sensor and clean it up, or replace it with a new one. - Jeff L.
