Well i had a friend of mine look up the impedence of the injectors for a 1990 3.1 and a 1990 TGP and the na's ran at 12.1 the tgps were at 12.4. So my question is, can i run my stock injectors for a turbo set up? Thanks in advance guys Jay

I wouldn't recommend it. The 3.1 NA injectors don't flow enough.

I think the TGP injectors flow 2lbs higher than n/a 3.1, and the 3.4's flow another lb higher (23?)

i've heard the NA 3.1 injectors are 19lbs and the TGP injectors are 22lbs.

GutlassSupreme is running 3.4 injectors in his TGP, the spray pattern is unique with 3.4 injectors (or so ive been told), but they seem to run pretty good.

 

EDIT: 91-93 LQ1 injectors are 22# or 23#

i got a spare set of LQ1 injectors...
what year? and what type of mileage was on them?>

if the 3.1 and the 3.4 computers are the same it would fire the injectors at the same pattern between a 3.1 and 3.4...I think LQ1 injectors will work great

the 3.1 and 3.4 chip programming is very different, but that has nothing to do with using LQ1 injectors in an LG5 motor.

get the set of injectors off white93Z34, your stock injectors are pretty much maxed out under stock use, so adding boost would push them beond what they can do. Also might want to go with a walbro fuel pump, or at least a stock TGP/ 90-91 vette fuel pump.

they are from a 92' 3.4, 137,xxx on them, i gotta test them yet to be sure they are good.

3800 series II injectors flow the same as tgp injectors, but might have a different spray pattern as they are bosch not multec

Jay (god910) is using L36 injectors in his TGP, but i guess a custom fuel rail mount is needed. maybe he will see this post and elaborate....

I got a couple sets from EBAY - You can use Ford chrysler or gm ones! just as long as its not those new skinny kind.

The LQ1 spray pattern is designed if i remember correctly from the picture in the book, to spray into the ports on the head so it flows down to each intake valve evenly.
