sonick
My 1990 Grand Prix STE (NA) has been having this loud groan/creaking noise whenever it goes over speedbumps, or whenever it compresses more than usual... its most noticeable with speedbumps i guess because its going at a low speed, so you can hear the suspension, and also its compressing slower so the groan/creak is more apparent... any ideas as to what is causing it? Thanks

your_I.D.
When I was a light line tech at local chevy dealer. This was a common noise for the w-bodies. The noise is coming from your front frame sway bar bushings. To cure the noise. Loosen the mounting clamp bolts that hold the bushing in place. Then use a screw driver to gap the bushing away from the swaybar a little. Then use a small pocket screwdriver and work some white lithium grease under bushing all the way around. Reassemble and drive squak free.
