Mysterious SES light

On the second day of driving the Prix, I nopticed that after about 10 minutes of driving, the SES light would come on but nothing would be amiss, all the gauges were fine, fluid levels, etc. It did not run any differently when the SES light came on. The odd thing was that it took so long for it to come on. Then, today, the light stopped coming on. Any ideas? I haven't jumped that connector thing for codes- but has anyone ever had this happen?

could be many different things...sounds like a 02 sensor or EGR right off hand to make the light come on and the car not running any different...maybe something isnt plugged in all the way or something...your best bet is to check the codes...cause when it comes to the SES there's really no way to guess...

Code 32 was stored:

32: EGR open command did not change the fuel mixture when the command was given during off idle operation. EGR opening should cause the mixture to be slightly richer because of the low oxygen content of exhaust gas.

It's at the upper right hand corner of the intake by the PCV. It has 1 connector and 2 10 mm bolts holding it in.

Take it off and clean the inside with carb cleaner. Honestly though, I fought with mine for 2 years and finally gave up and got the chip with the EGR turned off.

FWIW: All it does is put carbon into you're intake.
