hey guys i was driving back home today and my tranny started reving on the highway, i popped the hood and and there was some fluid spray on the airbox, and it was draining out underneath, i couldnt tell where it was comming from because it was running down the back of the car and dripping in like 5 different spots from the runnage...

there are two rubber hoses down to the left of the airbox and it looks like one of them has a lip comming out, i pushed it in and it came back out it may be ripped,

what do you guys think! what hoses are those rubber one?

those are the cooler lines. Pretty easy to repair, just buy new rubber line of the same diameter and clamp on with worm-style clamps (you may have the crimped connections you'll have to cut off)

does anyone know the diameter? of the trans cooling hoses? i might just have to cut off a piece but id rather not just yet...

also what exactly is a worm style clamp i wanna make sure i clamp it good all i have in mind is those notch clamps that you turn with a screw driver like what holds the intake on...

does anyone have a picture or a "shelf name" of the types of clamps i need would the people at autozone know what a "worm clamp" is?

get a vbuddy to drive you up there, and take the hose with you. for the clamps, I just got regular hose clamps that you tighten with a screwdriver. After that I've went almost 2 years with no problems on mine (hose came off and I didnt realize it and fried the tranny)

cool i replaced the whole line it was only 12 bucks from tranny fittin all the way to radiator, so its all good now, that bastard took 6 quarts to refill, how much does it hold bone dry?

I've heard if you drain absoplutely every thing it is somewhere around 8 quarts to fill totoally (changing the filter and flashing the entire system)...6 quarts sounds about right provided you are checking it when the tranny is warm with the engine running and in park...if you check it with no engnine running then you won't have an accurate reading.

I think my dip sticks says from the add line to the "hot park" line it is 5 quarts
