Canada
Considering that L67s make way more than 245 lb-ft, I'm curious about long term durability. 2.04/3.77 = 54% 1.32/2.04 = 64% 0.95/1.32 = 72% 0.76/0.95 = 80% 0.62/0.76 = 81% The gears really tighten up past third. I don't know what kind of power you are going to be making, but I don't think you aren't going to be able to use 5th gear (let alone 6th) as it will go to 176mph with a 6k redline and 225/60/16 tires. Plus, I think first gear might be to steep.....it stops at 35 mph.
brianteel
interesting......i think it is stronger then the 282 with the spec i have found. the top end gearing will be great for cruising on the highway though..... i guess we will find out when i bolt it up...of coarse when i find one
Canada
Yeah......65 mph should only be 1800 rpm with 225/60/16s.....1500 for 55.
brianteel
that would be great....with the getrag at 65 the RPMs are at 3k plus
Canada
A Getrag 282? W or L/N? If it IS a W (slightly deeper 5th)...at 65 mph, you are at 2400 rpm with 225/60/16 tires.
