90TGP Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Where can I take my car to get the speedometer recalibrated? It's driving me nuts that my dash speedo is 5-10mph off from my HUD speedo. It sucks when I can't see my HUD due to direct sunlight shining on it, and I can't trust my dash speedo over 35mph. Quote
mfewtrail Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Some guy on the TGP board had his sent off through the dealership I believe, the post was made yesterday I believe in the electronics section. Quote

Trust me, it'll show up 100x better. Mine went from barely readable even without a glare to annoyingly bright at full power. Btw, that post on the TGP boards was about him having his entire cluster rebuilt.. I wonder though if we can still get ours calibrated with an old worn out cluster and have it be accurate afterwards? GnatGoSplat Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I jumpered a 1 or 10megohm resistor across the calibration resistor on my cluster and then it was pretty close to dead-on accurate. Quote
Intlcutlass Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I jumpered a 1 or 10megohm resistor across the calibration resistor on my cluster and then it was pretty close to dead-on accurate. Do you mean a 1 ohm or a 10 meg ohm resister??? Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 No, 1 megohm or 10 megohm, sorry! I forget which it was. Quote
