Nick1234
I looked at and probably bought a 99Lumina LTZ today, and it seemed the the A/C compressor was leaking oil. Do they have oil in them? I have never heard of it before, but would it be possible for an oil like substance to leak from the Compressor. Are there somekind of oil lines that run near the compressor? Anything else that would be the cause of a leak?
GnatGoSplat
Yes, they do have oil. The oil goes into the same place as freon, so I'd imagine if it's leaking oil, it's probably also leaking freon.
2002 GP GT
The usual leak is the clutch shaft seal, you can either replace the seal or get a new compressor.
