282 linkage question. Same for W-body and J-body?

There's a 3.1/282 Crapalier at the yard, and I'm temped to go pull it, but I'd like to know if the shifter linkages are the same. I know the halfshafts are different, and I'll need the W-body clutch setup, but what about these linkages?

you can not use the 282 trans unless it has the torque....the axles will hit the subframe. i thought about that....to my knowledge the linkage is the same though

I don't know much about the W 282.....but the linkages (cables and bushings) on my 1991 284 are different than my roomates 1988 L 282.
