3pt1lumina
Okay I have been wondering this for sometime now and I'm curious if anyone knows about this. On my 77 Chevelle there are many options when choosing a replacement radiator. I have either a 2 , 3, or 4 row radiator to choose from. The car came with a 2 row originally and I went for the 3 row because it was the only one I could find because the car is getting so old. My questions are; what is the difference? will it make a difference? what is most beneficial? thanks guys!
twind
they are know as 2 core 3 core and 4 core. 3 core is better then your old one. it run coller under heavy stress or load. 4 core is used for racing heavy towing. and the anwser to your question is it will be better rad. unless you drive grandma no offense. I hope this is 100% correct fell free to correct me. this is was i was told the the differences are
DiscoStudd
The more "rows" a radiator has, the more surface area it has. More surface area = more cooling (or you could say greater cooling efficiency...)
THe_DeTAiL3R
I think my car has a 2 row.. so if I had to replace it I'd just get the same thing. If you are talking about a Chevelle though, I'd go 3 or 4 cause those bigger engines shouldn't run as hot.
