cizin
Well I am going to look at and hopefully pick up my "mint condition" as I am told Monte Carlo rims this weekend. I figure since I will have better cooling for the rotors, its time to upgrade and replace the front brake rotors since they are quite warped. I am not going to upgrade the brake system at this time, just replace stock rotors with a higher quality part. I went looking for parts and everyone is asking me if I have either 267mm or 286mm rotors. Since I am lazy and I know I could just pull the wheel but I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a way to find out any other way. Also, does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on drilled, slotted, or both for my poor shivering Lumina. The car is a base 95 Lumina so I figure they are the smaller ones but I guess it would be a good idea to be sure before I start ripping my only car apart. Any suggestions? 90TGP
It SHOULD be the 286, but don't quote me on that. I know they started to use the larger brakes in 94.
DiscoStudd
Actually, the larger front rotors came midway through the 95 model year, so the only way to tell is to take off one of your front wheels and measure the sucker...
