LukeZ34
Heh, I tried that. There's a little knob (pot) on the laser assembly, but adjusting that didn't do jack for me besides hose a working CD Player. It had problems playing CD-R's, so stupid me decided to mess with it, and it hasn't worked since then. To get to that little pot you have to remove the cd mechanism, remove the bottom plastic cover, remove the screws that hold the mechanism board in place, remove any wires connected to the board, and then lift the board out. You should be able to see the pot on the laser assembly. Good luck. The problems w/ these are usually caused by bad components on the mechanism board, so I'm not sure adjusting the pot on the laser is going to do any good. But hey, since it doesn't work anyway, why not give it a try!

1990lumina
If it was dropped I'd check for cracked solder joints on the circuit board(s) as well
Prospeeder
take it somwhere, like an Audio shop, or electronics shop, they might be able to fix it, for probably alot less than buying a new one
