Clutch rattle...

Time for a new clutch? Keep in mind I replaced it just over a year ago. Or did the crooked mechanic (Now out of business) screw me over on this one?

sounds like the TO bearing is rattling. does the rattling go away when you depress the clutch pedal? this is a common problem; both of the 282s i've had in my car have done that, as well as the TO bearing in my GTS.

hopefully it's not something more serious!

that would indicate a TO bearing for sure (well, at least IMHO). as long as it's not "loud" and only a slight rattle and isn't getting worse i don't think it's anything to worry about. mine have rattled from day one and they never got any worse.

Yeah it's a occasional rattle at idle or when you shut the engine off. The clutch still feels good though. Anyway when I'm in the US i'm gonna pick up a clutch for it. They want $700.00-$1000.00 for the clutch kit thats just the freeking parts at the local auto parts store. I hear they are 150-300.00 US down there. I'm just gonna bring one home while I'm down there.
