mfewtrail Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Try doing an idle relearn and see if that fixes it. Directions can be found here... http://www.60degreev6.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=22 Otherwise, wipe off the old IAC with a damp rag and reinstall it. NY GTP Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 on the topics of IAC where the hell is it on an L67? Ive been told thats what makes it sound like rocks when our engines are cold. does it need to be cleaned to get rid of the noise or what? The stepper motor is located in the TB itself. The noise youre talking about is not the IAC, but the supercharger coupler in the S/C snout. It should only rattle at idle and go away with even just a little bit of throttle applied to bring the RPM's up. Mines gone bad too and I need to replace it. I believe ZZP sells a better than stock coupler that lasts longer for $35 or so. I'm gonna do mine soon since I need to change the oil in the S/C anyways and the coupler change requires the removal of the snout. Quote
