GutlessSupreme
It's smaller. I don't know exact numbers though.
Guest TurboSedan
it's a T25 with smaller A/R turbine and compressor housings i believe. Kenny might know; i think he used to own a Sunbird Turbo.
TGPilot
There are a couple of models of the Garrett turbos over the years of Sunbirds. 1986 and older was a 1.8L 4 cylinder with a TINY T-02! 1987 and newer was a T-25 on the 2.0L cars. The list shows that the T-25 on the GP's was a TB2528. The Pontiac 2.0L cars used a TB2506 on the 1987 model and newer. Do a search on the web for the full specs on each of these turbos. I would be confident in saying the T25 on the 2.0L had smaller internals to ease with spooling on the 4 cylinder car. Here is a list of the Garrett part numbers used on Pontiac turbo cars over the years... Check on eBay what they are going for and sell it there . Jeff M
TGPilot
T25 from a Sunbird .49 comp A/R .47 Turbine A/R 40 trim T25 from a TGP .68 comp A/R .67 Turbine A/R, 50 trim Looks like a TGP T25 would be a serious bolt on upgrade for the Sunbird if you could get the thing to spool! Something I may look into for one of the summer projects I have planned... 8)
Guest TurboSedan
T25 from a TGP .68 comp A/R .67 Turbine A/R, 50 trim no, the TGP T25 uses a Garrett T25 with .80 A/R compressor and .68 A/R turbine. the A/R #s are cast right into the housings.
