AWeb80 Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 Just like the title says....i'm making my own and would like to see good pics of the ones that you guys have....just so i can compare. Thanks. Quote
90TGP Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 I'll take a picture of mine this weekend. It's hanging in my garage right now. Quote
AWeb80 Posted May 10, 2005 Author Report Posted May 10, 2005 Thats fine if they aren't in the cars....i just want to see pics of them.....specifically the connecting ends. Quote
5speedz34 Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 my bar is not in my car right now....gotta clean it up a bit with some polish and then seal it when i do my rims also. Seal it? Quote
5speedz34 Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Sweet! I bet it would work great on exhaust tips! Quote
z34_nut Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 I'm kinda skeptic on things that get hot... Like valve covers, and tips, and plenums and such... I would think it would turn yellow. Quote
pwmin Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 other pictures here (along with some other stuff) http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/paulwmin/album?.dir=4dce&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos oh, yeah, and before you say anything, those were temporary brackets i cut out of aluminum. it is not in the car as my stereo stuff is in there and i need to make some steel brackets for it and im going to weld the bar to the bracket probably instead of bolting it. AWeb80 Posted May 11, 2005 Author Report Posted May 11, 2005 That is a good idea......but i'd have hieght problems. The bar would hit my 6x9's because they are aftermarket and hang lower in the trunk..(bigger magnet). i'll post pics of mine when i get it up....but keep the pics coming. Quote
94CutlassSLCoupe Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 pwmin, is the actual bar one of the regal ones such as you'd use in the front? I might have to buy two of them since they are cheap enough Quote
pwmin Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 yes, its the regal one. you may as well buy both even if youre not going to use both since its only like 5 bucks more for two instead of one. That is a good idea......but i'd have hieght problems. The bar would hit my 6x9's because they are aftermarket and hang lower in the trunk..(bigger magnet) haha. when i tried to stick the bar in it kept sticking to the magnet since there was less than a half inch of clearance. i have am speakers but they're infinity reference 3-ways so the magnet's not very big. how are you planning on doing your bar? btw, i fixed the link, so anyone should be able to access the other pictures Quote
terryk2003 Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 i'd like to see what that RSM bar looks like for the rear also...BTW: how do you mount the rear STB!?...do u use longer screws for the upper strut mounts then put nuts on top to hold the bar down!?... :? Quote
AWeb80 Posted May 25, 2005 Author Report Posted May 25, 2005 well, i just finished mine today, had it cut, profesionally powdercoated, and put on my car..... it is sweet....i'll have pics on friday night or saturday..... P.S. Yes terry, i got longer strut bolts, and then got nuts and lock washers to hold my bracket on.....you'll see when I post pics...... If anyone wants one when they see my pics, i can have them made for a decent price......mine was free cause i "found" the material sitting around lol Quote
