DiscoStudd
Who did you get it from? I got mine from "Intake Power" and he sent me the wrong pipe originally. After I e-mailed him about the problem, he sent me out the correct pipe free of charge (and I didn't need to send him the "wrong" one back either.) So good news for you if you got yours from the same guy!
sl3196
I had to cut my pipe a bit with the one I got. Try that.

So good news for you if you got yours from the same guy! Yeah. The very same one. Again the hole is drilled in the center of the pipe while the original 'pipe' is off center leaving the hose 1-1.5" short. What engine was yours for? I will up some pics as soon as my phone company decides to fix it's netowrk issues of late.
DiscoStudd
I got mine for the 3800. The first pipe he sent me was too long and the IAT grommet was in the wrong place. He shipped me out the "correct" (I use that term loosely) one free of charge. The IAT is in the right place, but I think it was designed for the Series II 3800 because the elbow isn't "bent" enough. It still fits in there okay, and it works as well as can be expected, so I guess you could say I'm happy with it. Here's a pic of my WAI installed on my Regal

5speedz34
Wow that hole looks huge!!!!! Can't you just rotate it up a little bit? If not Idiotzone sells plastic flexible tubing to extend that line. It looks like you might have to extend wires for the IAT. Did the seller say it was a direct fit? If so I would try to get something new.
jeremy
sorry to hear that....hopefully the seller will make it right.
slick
I had the same problem with my vent tube when I made my WAI. I truthfully forget how I solved that problem, but it seems to have held up nicely. As for extending the IAT wires, you shouldn't have to do that, but it isn't a PITA if you have to. JJ77
Same thing happened to me. All I did was take some rubber hose and made it longer
Stevo
Wow that hole looks huge!!!!! The grommets have been removed because they risk being bumped off and lost while installing. Can't you just rotate it up a little bit? If not Idiotzone sells plastic flexible tubing to extend that line. Rotating it up would put the airfilter against the hood at best. Finding a the right hose to make up the difference is a needle in a haystack situation. I dont want to be driving all around for a $2.00 piece of hose that isnt guaranteed to work. It looks like you might have to extend wires for the IAT. Well I already solved that problem by letting out some of the wiring a bit from where it was fastened. Did the seller say it was a direct fit? Part of the wrap up of the transaction was to send the car's specifics in order to have the right fitment. Getting a hose to fit is one thing. Getting a hose that fits and does'nt constantly pop out is another.
5speedz34
It isn't hard to find hose that fits that line, I can guarantee that. If you were supposed to send the cars info for the right fitment, and it is for that car and it isn't fitting wouldn't that warranty a refund? 89GPSE
Cut the plastic line in half, get 5/8 heater hose and two hose clamps. And you can extend it to where you need to go and it will be more flexable.

Stevo
Update: They sent me a hose that reaches, finally. Only problem is it's diameter is too think to fit the pipe with it's grommet. The hose wall thickness is 1/8" thick and it's inner diameter is so small it won't fit over the breather feed. I'm pissed. I just sent off an email asking for a refund. I'm even more pissed by the fact that when I started installing it the first time. I blew cash on a K&N recharger kit and oiled the damn filter only to have to give it back. Stevo
update: The emails I am recieving are getting both rediculous and insulting. - > THE PICTURE SHOWN THAT YOU DON'T NEED THE BLUE HOSE AT > ALL, I AM NOT SURE WHY YOU ASK FOR ONE BUT SEND YOU > ONE ANYWAY. IF THAT BLUE HOSE WILL PREVENT YOU FROM > CLOSING YOUR HOOD - SEND ME SOME PICTURE. I WILL > CONSIDER MODIFYING THE HOOD TO MAKE IT FIT. > > ST ...YOU sent me the hose and told me it would fit because YOU felt I needed the hose to allow the connection to reach... Now you want to cut a hole in my HOOD???? WTF? =\

wally05
If he refuses to refund you. Send the complaint to Ebay, since the item wasn't as described, he OWES you the money back. Korey
