I seen some excited talks about the Revel TGP Model, got me thinking you guys (and future visitors) might like a list to know what all I have found over the years on our rare cars. If you guys like it I will make it a sticky, but for now it’s just a common Post so that I can get corrections on my speeling  , grammar and content accuracy  , as well as any known additions :D . Soon as it looks finished well enough, will then make it a sticky and this post can slide off into oblivion, or until someone needs to add something to bring it back up 8) , then I will go into the Sticky and update it. At that time I will also bold the headers.

Enjoy, Jeff M.

I was in Borders this weekend and I looked through a fairly new Pontiac book. It might have been the standard catalog of Pontiac, not sure. It was up to 2002. The STE Turbo got a color picture in the middle section. The TSTE also got 2 B&W, and the TGP got one B&W.

I have the STE supplement, I don't think there is a STE Turbo one?

Damn!

Guess I'll have to adjust my TGP/TSTE magazine articles list:

http://www.netavalanche.com/tgp/viewtopic.php?t=2310

By the way, Jeff. You wouldn't happen to know if this is authentic (jacket), or custom, would you?

When this list is finalized, I can have Jim W post it over there 8)

As for the jacket, I recall when they were listed on eBay, the lister said it was given away at the track when the TGP was pacing(?), to Special Event pass/Pit Pass owners most likely 8). I would have bought one if they were not XL, XL would hang on me

Will add it to the list! THANKS!!

Great, they fixed it/updated the Pontiac book!!! Will add that above.

There was a STE Owners Manual Suppliment, got it, Part Number Maybe??

Will wait if someone else found a Turbo STE Owners Manual Suppliment, kind of doubt it too.

Thanks for the update:) !!!

There is a STE Turbo owners manual supplement. I'll see if I can get the part # from it when I get a chance.

"Turbo" STE Sup?, sweeeet, I was hoping, know that all too often these things are lost or kept by previous owners (dealers too  ) so glad you might have one :D Thanks!

I was lucky to get the owners manual / supplement from the previous (original) owner. I see a part # on the back, ASC - W-29D8-1969-AXXX. Here's a pic.

I have that same STE Turbo supplement that I got from the previous owner. We don't however have a regular Turbo supplement in the TGP coupe.

Great, thanks :D !!! Looking at the part number for this Sup, and the all the ones listed above, this one has a unique numbering system, and with the "ASC" and the "AXXX" there is no doubt it was not made through the normal channels, but instead ASC must have initiated its production. I have seen (other should have too) the use of "XXX" and "XXXX" etc as part of the numbering system on the unique parts to these cars such as the rear exhaust manifold, intercooler, radiator etc. Even more history linking is being found 8) thanks again, part numbers added above :)

Good info. My seller didn't respond at all when I inquired about this one. I figured what the hell, at the very least, it would be cool to have at shows if I ever finish the TGP and have it worthy of entering in one. Plus, it was brand new/never worn. I'm more then likely going to keep it that way. Oh, and trust me.....it is a very " '80s" XL, aka I wouldn't fit in it if I tried. A little case of the "big Armenian" syndrome (and...I don't mean big in the not so good way  ).

For sure something that is rare and worth keeping 8) , wish I had grabbed one, but I would have wanted to wear it, XL would not work for me so same as you, it would be parked in the garage and never driven  or laying on the seat in your TGP at car shows, ohhh yeaaa!!

Well there does not seem to be many more contributions for now, sure there will be later and hope to see more. For now moving this up to a sticky so others coming later will know what to look out for mainly while cruising eBay! Thanks for all your input guys, sure is a lot of great history and background info on our cars, something to be happy with while you drive down the road and show your cars!

There is good idea :D Some like putting that Daytona 500 Baseball Cap in the back window of their car and shows, too often and the sun will fade them but they have been for sale on eBay over and over, I have 2 used ones and one new one in a case now, just looked at it and oops, it says Winston Cup Daytona 500, forgot to add the Winston Cup to the listing above, but 1989 Daytona 500 always brought up these caps, and tickets, and Pit Passes from those lucky to get back then. There is a 1990 Pontiac Press Folder/Car Show (one of those) for sale on eBay, it has those 8x10 B&W Glossies, most times they show the TGP but could not see one in the listing, only a white STE maybe TSTE can’t tell.

I think I should add the link to the BlackHawk Collection regarding the 1988 Pikes Peak Racer that might have been the first true Turbo GP, it was just an 88 GPSE with no louvers or aero so not really an ASC/McLaren TGP, I just hate using links as I have seen too many times over the last 10 years dead links at web sites  Guess I should still do it though since its such a unique car. I looked at it when it was for sale about 6 years ago, gave it a complete physical, copied the chip, took some pics with a lame camera and could not afford the asking price. Went back last year with a better camera but could not get good pics with it being packed tightly in the back (since it was not selling and there were so many other rare cars), and the guy showing me the car was a grumpy old man with no patience , and the price went up  . I know the owner who had it before it was sold to the owner now that is listing it for sale, and I know this first owner has some literature he did not pass on to this owner, hoping after some time that literature will get old so when I call the guy he might be ready to let go of it, hopefully not for too much $$.
