Guest Gp crazy Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 I own a 1990 grand prix STE Non Turbo the rims size is 16.5 right? But the tires that I bought today say "do not install on 16.5 rims" The tire is a Tiger Paw Touring Speed Rated T and it says 215-60-16 on it. Im confused the tire size is right but it says not to install it on a 16.5 rim? Why is that ? :? Thanks jeff 69.04 + 9.95 * 2 , installed balanced, got rid of the old ones 176.01 total bjs in central new york Quote
Prospeeder Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 yea, dunno where u got 16.5, its 16 inch wheels Quote
Bossman429 Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 16.5 inch rims were only on older trucks, like 1970's or so. Your wheels are 16 inch. THis is a measurement of the diameter of the wheel where the bead of the tire seats, in case you didn't know. Quote
Guest Gp crazy Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Thanks I was just curios because my wife & kids ride in that car I did not want any problems with them blown off the rims or something! Quote
Jeorge Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 the STE's have 16x6.5 not 16x 7 it says on the inside when you remove the tires. Quote
Euro Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 i have the exact same tire and my wheel sizes are the optional 16x6.5 Quote
Prospeeder Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 he ment that it was like 16.5x16 or somthing, not 16x16.5 Quote
