Has anyone bought the Front and Rear strut tower brace from RSM Racing??? if anyone has, how well does it fit and how much of a difference do they make??? becuase Im thinking about buying both for my '94

I know someone that did. He said it fit perfect. They look pretty good too. If you want to save a few bucks, you can buy a Buick K-bar for the front, and the RSM bar for the rear. You can pick up the K-Bar from a local GM dealer for around $20. Part# 12456148

ZZPerformance makes a kit that lets you bolt on the K-bar onto your car without having to drill your strut plates. $35 http://zzperformance.com/products1.php?id=139&PHPSESSID=b1334562fda9633eb84248c37b9f35ae

yeah I dont want to have to drill anything or chop it up but rather have a direct bolt on

I would get the RSM Bars then. They look pretty good too.

If you're lucky, and I mean really lucky, you might be able to find a factory strut bar from an 89-96 Cutlass Convertable in a junkyard or swapmeet. They are a bolt-on, but these area really hard to find.

RSM is expensive and overpriced for their products.

The reason I wouldn't buy their products because when they were trying to make a poly urethane kit for 3.4 cars the bushings didn't even fit and the wouldn't reimburse the customer.

Ask Ben, Vegeta, Sappse107 about this.

Why does it have to be a concern of you were I spend my money?

Has anyone bought the kit for the front, (includes brackets and bar) and the bar for the rear from ZZ Performance?

Allright well Ive heard that these STB bars dont really do too much on a coupe and are more more the conv. Would these bars really help the handling of the coupes to the point where its really noticable?

I don't know about the GM bar, but when I had my bar installed [similar to the design of the RSM bar], I felt a difference in my driving. If I uninstall my front bar on my car, I notice a difference in the way it corners. A rear bar will make the biggest difference in my opinion.

The street I live off of is connected to a main road, so I always have to accelerate to merge with traffic. I would feel the rear wanting to slide out. After I installed the rear bar, the rear felt solid.

Who'd you hear that from? Yes they do make a HUGE impact on the convertible, but when I put a stock convertible bar on my sedan it still made a HUGE difference. I was definetly impressed at the improvment it made, at least with my FE1 suspension. And there's no reason they would make any more or less of a difference between a coupe or sedan.

Front STB made no difference on my 89. I doubt it would make much difference, unibodies in general are pretty stiff. It's not like these cars are made of cheese.

If these cars were so poorly designed and built that there was that much slop in the frame, then I guess the joke's on us for being dumb enough to buy them!

yeah thats the thing, my car feels good during corners, I mean its only been through one winter so its still solid, but I thought the STB bars were made for a conv. because they dont have the extra strength during cornering like coupes do.

...OH...just get one anywayz...even if it doesnt help MUCH, it still looks kewl!

I agree, it can only help and not hurt. I have STB's in all my W's. Even though I don't think these cars have that much slop where it makes a huge difference, at least with the STB I can have peace of mind knowing it's stiffer than stock.

yeah Ill probably pick them both up from RSM Racing once I pay for everything that I ordered this week. but I e-mailed the guy from zz performance and asked him what he though about the STB bars in coupes and he said he pick up about 6 mph around corners with no tire sqeal.
