19Cutlass94
have you cleaned just the EGR itself or have you also cleaned the port from the back of the throttlebody to the EGR valve, gettin all the carbon out, because once you clean that port, it wont clog up again for several years of driving but if all of that is clean, its probably your EGR itself

5speedz34
There is a tube that it connects to that runs to the exhaust downpipe, spray carb cleaner down that. Honestly, I would just try to get a new EGR.
skiiirt
There is a tube that it connects to that runs to the exhaust downpipe, spray carb cleaner down that. Honestly, I would just try to get a new EGR. A new egr valve will still fail if there is a piece of carbon thats causing it to stick. I have replaced my old EGR valve and things havent improved. There seems to be one piece of carbon that I can never get
Redwingvksm
Get a coat hanger, cut it, and use that to clean out that tubes w/ the Carb Clean. If you just put a new EGR on it - it'll still have the exact same problem. Take the 1/2 hour it'll require and do it right. And don't complain about 17mpg!! That's almost godlike to my ears!!
