Difference Between Crate Engines And Installed Engines

I was wondering if there are any differences between a crate DOHC 3.4 or the stock LQ1, like the one that came in a car.

nah, the crate engines are basicly left over stock from the assembly line that were boxed up for dealerships to sell.

some companies will sell crate motors modified i know i have seen a complany put out a dohc with larger vales and other mods and claimed 240hp stock crate

The only difference is the crate motor doesn't come with everything on it. You can probably find one on ebay or look at one of the auction watch threads here from a few days ago and see what a 3.4 DOHC crate motor looks like.
