I've already done the searches, so dont suggest that.

What should be the normal oil PSi on the 3.4 when you first start it up?

I'm thinking maybe my sensor is bad. On the old engine, it was always about 70 psi, but I never drove it, it was always in park. On the new engine, its the same, but again, i have only driven the car 3 miles... and I know that I'm not having oil problems with this one... It just seems high to me, but again, the car hasn't been a"driven" far since last june.

On any car I've driven, Oil PSI is always high at startup, partially because the car's idle is higher to promote warming up. It sounds fairly normal to me.

My startup oil pressure hovers around 70 psi, after 15 minutes of mixed driving and idling, it'll fall to about 40 at idle and hot idle is around 20. At temp, the oil pressure gauge reads about 60 psi at anything above idle.

That, and don't even bother with the pressure gauge on the Grand Prix's. Totally worthless.

Yeah the one of the Bonne is money though. My dad had an identical car to yours except dark green. I was always pissed my GP didn't have full gages.

My Z34 when it was first started it was always way into the 80 PSI range. Once it's warmed up it should be between 20-40 PSI at idle.
