3pt1lumina
Dad's 97 Lumina w/ the 3100 is having idling issues when the engine is cold. What seems to be the issue is it's idling irratically and unseemingly low. I thought of a couple of things it might be; maybe O2 sensor or IAC, maybe MAP or IAT??? what do you guys think? One thing I know is ok is the fuel filter because that is new, plugs/wires because they have about 7k on them and it doesn't have bad gas because it's been doing this for about a month now. When the car is warm, no problems at all. No SES either.

3pt1lumina
uh oh. thats not good.... The intake manifold gaskets were changed at 70k and it has 107k now. Should they last longer than that? And the best way to figure out if its leaking is to pressure test the system?? I know for a fact it's not losing coolant because I watch the level like a hawk. topless94style
It wont be a coolant leak, its a vac leak. And it may very well have gone out that quick.
