5speedz34
Well, what do you want a plain jane sedan, or a sports coupe? The nice thing about W's is there is somewhat of a variety.
DiscoStudd
All W-Bodies have rear discs standard, except for the 95-99 Monte Carlo and 95-01 Lumina, which came standard with rear drums. Discs were avalible as an option on the newer Luminas and Montes starting in 96 (drums were all you could get in 95.)

Wrong the 1995 Monte Carlo Z34, 3.4 DOHC, had drum rear brakes, even though the 91-94 Lumina Z34 had rear discs...

Meerkatguy
Don't worry about that...anything collectible will be way out of my price range...I'm just going to be saving cars that would otherwise be salvage yard bound. Thanks all for the advice on the best calipers...later ones it will be.
