JS91Z34
First off, Its been a little over a year or maybe closer to two years since my last real post on this board. I'm glad to see it's still up and running. I have a small problem with my Z34. I have not driven the Z34 in probably a year and a half. I'm chasing a dead misfire down, and it seems to get away everytime. I do know it's not fuel-related, its definitely spark-related. Coil pack 2(middle one)was replaced. Along with plugs and wires. Nothing in the ignition system was overlooked, most of it was replaced. Compression check was done, and checked out fine. After coil pack 2 was replaced, along with everything else the car ran fine for about three days. After those three days, The car lost three cylinders, and surprisingly still ran. It took two miles to get to 50 mph. Since then the car has sat in the garage for the last year and a half. When attempting to start it, it will start. It runs on 4 to 6 cylinders while its warming up, then drops two cylinders. Any ideas?
slick
ICM replaced? It is located directly beneath the coil packs.
Psych0matt
ICM replaced? It is located directly beneath the coil packs. or the other two coilpacks? (didn't sound like two were replaced)
Regal_GS_1989
. Nothing in the ignition system was overlookedSeems like something was overlooked if it is missing . Seriously, check the plugs, and even change them out. (they are faily cheap). Then check the other 2 coils. And then the ICM.
