JJ77
The rear end on my lumina is sagging so I was thinking about lowering the front so that it would be lower than the rear. What do you think ?
5speedz34
Yeah, I would do it.

Aaron
Lower the front, god i hate the stock ride height in the front. BTW nice clean car you got! You mean old stock. They aren't like that from the factory, it is just years that do it. I think you should, I was considering doing it to mine. On a side note, HOLY UBER-PERFECT WHEELS BATMAN!!! terryk2003
i personally don't think the front needs lowered, BUT...if you wanna do it i don't think it'll look bad either...so, i dunno...it really doesnt look bad the way it is though! GutlessSupreme
I can hardly notice it from the pics, but if you want to lower the front go ahead and lose an inch.
5speedz34
I think Intrax? is a little bit lower that the Suspension Techniques one?
GnatGoSplat
Intrax is supposed to be a little lower, but in real life I think their drop is no more than the ST's. I can tell the front needs dropped more though, there's definitely more tire gap on the front. It's just not real noticeable in the first pic because the rear tires are more tucked so the fender is causing a shadow on top of the rear tire giving the illusion of equal gaps. JJ77
Would someone care to give me a link where I can get some Intrax or ST springs
GnatGoSplat
jcwhitney.com has the ST springs. Plug in 95 Chevy Monte Carlo as your car.
JJ77
So these will fit http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-VehicleBrowse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2005865/showCustom-0/p-2005865/N-200728464+111+1995+600003409/c-10101 and I should get about a 1 1/2 inch drop out of them right
GnatGoSplat
Yup.
Jcrow
What do you need to install those? I have some coil spring compressors. Any special tools?
GnatGoSplat
I had the entire knuckles out... I guess you can say special tools are recommended to get the knuckle out, I have the Kent Moore outer tierod and balljoint tool which pops those out real easy without hurting them. Once you have the knuckles out, a set of coil spring compressors is all you really need to put the springs on. You can probably do it without pulling the knuckles out, but it seems like that might be a bit of a hassle.
Jcrow
How about the strut? do you have to loosen the strut or any thing? If I do this it would be a good time to get new control arm bushings too
GnatGoSplat
No, you can leave the strut in the knuckle, but be aware the strut and knuckle are built into 1 assembly.
