why so many montes

I could do without the 2004+ GP's. They just don't even LOOK like a Grand Prix to me.

 

The New GP's are UGLY period.

I hate the 04+ GP's. I hate the C-pillar, I hate the blocky ass end, I hate the giant googly headlights, and I hate the bird-beak shaped grille. Not much that I like about it. I like the 88-03 are the only GP's I like. In some ways, I like 97-03 better. I like the overall shape, but I think they have an ugly ass that needs to be reshaped with the spoiler.

 

I think 95-99 are the best looking of all Montes, they have the nicest, smoothest and sleekest shape.

Only thing I don't like about them are the body line, the ugly molding on the sides that they all have (although that comes off), the square wheel wells, and the wheelbase that looks a little too short for a 200+ inch long car.

 

I like the Lumina Z34 better than the Monte though.

In MY honest opinion, yes.. your car looks cheap. Maybe it's because every 2-door Lumina I see here has the shit beat out of it, and it's never a Z34. I've only seen maybe 3 Z34 95-99's here. And personally, until that car finds some rims that aren't $2 junkyard steelies, it'll always look cheap.

In my area, there are more Chevy's than Pontiacs because they're cheaper. Monte and 95+ Luminas are going to be more plentiful than older Grand Prix's because they're newer. Newer cars are always more plentiful. Around here, current body Impalas are every freakin' place. They cost less and are in some ways better than the same year Grand Prix's. You can also get a lot better deal on one because you can buy them as program cars (off lease from rental agencies or former fleet vehicles).

In fact, I don't see where I ever bashed your car minus saying that the wheels looked cheap. I personally don't give two shits if someone thinks my car looks bad or if they don't like what I do. IMO 83-88 Monte's(SS) look better than all of the 5th/6th gen montes. (not a bias opinion either.....even though i DO have an 84 SS)

 

 

next i would buy a 95-99 Z34 over a 00+

 

the turbo 81 MC was cool....Hemmings Muscle Machine's latest issue did an article about the turbo 81. Its slower than balls(even with the turbo...ran like an 18 sec 1/4) but its still a cool car!

I don't see a large amount of them out HERE (long island) but I happen to like them, well some of them. They're very color and trim dependent. Like this I'd take and drive any day:

 

 

But the same car in base/LS form with chrome trim package OAF, no wheels, and certain colors (burgundy, white, for example) no thanks.

No, its a truth. We have very heavily populated jewish areas here (Kira Joel, Munsey, Boro Park, Flushing...).... and they live for luminas and ventures... Virtually every lumina and venture I see driven is by an Orthodix jew.

I agree that 95-99 Monte's look cheap... and I can't tell them apart from 1.5gen Luminas until I look from the side. 95-99 Monte= 2 door Lumina The 00+ are dead sexy for FWD cars... I do hate the Nascar stickers on them though.

 

And here in MY area of Ontario, I see plenty (probably alot more) Grand Prixs 88-05 than any other w-body, although all the Chevs are pretty popular though.
