Guest Anonymous Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 My 92's DIC keeps saying Ck. Fuel. when I hit the range. I have 3/4 of a tank of gas... anyone know what could be wroung? Quote
5speedz34 Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 Check you're wiring. If that's fine check you're DIC. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 avg econ is working, inst. econ works, everyrthing works except the range. Quote
Baddflash Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 I've been having the same problem with mine ever since I installed the UB3. The only thing I can think of is I damaged the wire under the carpet, but I have to pull the front seats to see. Or the DIC is screwed up. I might get around to it today and if I find the problem I'll let you know. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 Let me know... I dont think i have any damaged wires, nothing is spliced... its all original, so i cant see it being an electrical problem, unless maybe my dic is faulty. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 You have to drive around for a while before it stops doing that. Quote
terryk2003 Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 maybe my dic is faulty. Â ...sorry...thats just sounds funny when you say it outloud... Quote
Baddflash Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 You have to drive around for a while before it stops doing that. Â Mine has been driven lots and it still refuses to work, yet everything else is fine. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 mines been driven about 10 miles and its still flashing the ck. fuel. POS. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 I had to let my tank run out then fill it up again before my Check Fuel warning went away. So.. I don't think 10 miles is gonna cut it. Â Baddflash: I see that a lot with people who wire it in (i.e No C200 compatability). I'm not sure what's up with that. Quote
Baddflash Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 It worked just fine for over a year so it is wired correctly. Like I said I may have damaged the wiring under the carpet , but I need to pull the seats to see. Quote
no1kicker Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 If the car thinks the range is under 40 miles, it will say check fuel. You probably already knew that...how's the gas gauge in the cluster working? Quote
5speedz34 Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Damn I hope when I wire mine up I don't have these problems! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Gas gauge says about 1/2 tank... Quote
Jcrow Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Mine does that, the range dosn't work and when i'm down to 3/4 tank it says chk fuel Quote
