WHat would you offer for a 3.1?

I found a guy thats sellin a 3.1 from a pontiac (didn't get into much detail about it). he said make him an offer and he will sell it to me. He said it runs and rather well when he pulled it out. How much do you think i should offer him??

What's the mileage??? If I were you I'd wanna hear it run myself before buying it. It shouldn't cost more than 500 tops.

Shit you can buy a Chevette motor and tranny for $75 and toss it in a Suzuki Samurai. My bud did that a long while back.

 

Now I get the feeling that these cars are no better.

$200 if it was MINT! hell you can get low mileage 3400s on ebay for around $200-$300 + shipping, why even mess with an old 3.1 MPFI in the first place?
