93 Grand Prix Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Everyone says that my car would look a lot better without my luggage rack. I thought about getting rid of it and have the holes filled and painted, But I heard not to do this. I was wondering could I paint my rack the color of the car. How would that look? I think I would have to prime it first. Quote

GnatGoSplat Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 I had a rack, but an idiot garbage truck driver backed into my car while it was parked by the curb and smashed the trunk and 1/4-panel. The only salvageable part of the rack was the 3rd brake light (which I kept). I decided to have a plain, rackless trunlid put on, and I'd have to say I like it better that way. I'm sure you could probably get a junkyard trunk for cheap. It'd be cheaper than having the holes filled/welded, then smoothed, repainted, etc. Quote
