Omega-Red Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 What is the widest tire size you can fit on Z34 without it getting in the way of the body? Quote
DiscoStudd Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 To answer both of your questions, poke around on the main site. You should find all of the info you need. http://www.w-body.com Quote
Omega-Red Posted April 19, 2005 Author Report Posted April 19, 2005 225 is the largest I saw so far. Have anyone put bigger? Like 245's? Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 z34nut's silver Z34 has 255/45-17's on it, I think. Quote
Canada Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Get some 16 X 8in TGP or GTP crosslaces and stick some 245/50R16's on them. LOTS of tire choices and reasonably cheap too. It's what I have (currently some cheapo [but VERY decent] Kumho Ecsta 711's........"H" rated) Quote
streetdreams Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 I'm on 215/70R15's and they rub when in full lock I wanna go down to a 205/55 but I wanna wait till I can hop to a 16+ rim Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 I'm on 215/70R15's and they rub when in full lockI wanna go down to a 205/55 but I wanna wait till I can hop to a 16+ rim 215s are skinny, I don't see how they would rub unless the older cars are different I think if it's rubbing it's cause the tires are too tall on your car.... Regal_GS_1989 Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 I've got 225/60/14 That I put on my GS, and sometimes my 88 and they never rub at full lock. :? Quote
pwmin Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 i put 245/45's on my 7's and they were too wide, however if the profile was higher they probably would have been alright, but since your wheels are 6.5" (i think) i wouldnt go more than 235's but they are hard to find they usually only make 235/50's and 235/60's unless you go up to 17's or 18's Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 The 225s on my crosslace look just right to me. I wouldn't go any more than 235.. Quote
streetdreams Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 the 205 is to help gas mileage, the 75 is the problem for rubbing Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 The 225s on my crosslace look just right to me. I wouldn't go any more than 235.. that's because you haven't seen MY black crosslaces with 245's on them talk about meat.. Quote
SilverZ Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 I have 235/45HR17 on my 94 Z34 but If you want I have some stock 16 inchers with brand new 225/60hr16 if your interested... Quote
FreakingGomer Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 i am running 245/45/17 on 17x7 rims and love em, look good, no rubbing issues i can find. Quote
