Anyone else have Autotap?

-Inspect the oil for traces of coolant (would indicate intake leak)

 

i do that alot...its been 3k miles since the last change and the oil level is still where i put it and its all oil...coolant is the only thing thats a lil low...could it just be leaking coolant out of the intake!?...

alright, i guess i'll be changing the gaskets soon then...thanx for the info! :wink:

I bet its an intake leak as well. With the car running, spray some throttle body cleaner around the lower intake gasket. If it seems to surge or act funny, you can tell the LIMG is gone.

alright...i'll try that!...

 

i guess i should also mention that my car shakes like crazy when it idles...could this be a vacum link caused by this intake gasket as well!?

I bet its an intake leak as well. With the car running, spray some throttle body cleaner around the lower intake gasket. If it seems to surge or act funny, you can tell the LIMG is gone.

Could be. My classes end in a few weeks. If you figure out what is exactly wrong with your car, and wouldn't mind a helping hand, i'll come out.

Yes. And thats good advice with the carb cleaner. I forgot about that one.

:lol: yeah...but the problem is figuring out what's wrong...as of right now, i'll deffinatly be changing the intake gaskets in the future...in fact, i might stop tomarrow and see if i can get them...
