LuminaPower92
Sup Fellas, Yep looking at getting another W-body, let alone another Lumi. There is a 91-94 Lumi Z34 sitting near me for sale. Called the owner today, said i could take it for 500 bucks and the car needs new bearings, that the bottom of the engine went.?. is this worth the task of rebuilding to drive? the rest of it seems ok, i can clean it up nice and maybe resell it if i want. Any info would be great and maybe some tips also. Thanks for any help you can give. Brian

1990lumina
Don't bother.. Seems like a lot of work for little gain - unless you plan on keeping the car for a long time...even then there are better Z34s out there IMO of course
Justin
Way too much work for the money. I bought my '92 Z 5 speed for $650, and it ran fine.
White93z34
bearings in teh bottom means screwed engine.
sonyman87
agreed motor needs total rebuild. crate droping would be an option to consider. and transmission condition? who knows. its better getting a 95+ for safty issues. they include airbages and have better suspension all around "no paper thin metal holding the struts in place"
z34_nut
no way... to much money and work will end out going into that fix.
Justin
no paper thin metal holding the struts in place Has anyone with stock suspension ever torn a rear strut mount? I don't even think there were any cases of people with coilovers messing up their rear strut towers, but I could be wrong there.
